Refrigeration Dryer Function
The duel heat exchanger has an large surface area and special insulation to reduce energy loss. The heat exchanger is encased in a bed of silica mass and the aluminium fins connect the air and refrigerant together. Consequently, the heat transfer from the air to the refrigerant is both direct and through the silica bed.

Installation of Refrigeration Dryers
For the most beneficial installation, IATT also recommends pre-filtration to remove solid particulates, bulk liquid and water droplets which reduce the burden on the dryer. Coalescing after filtration for the removal of sub-micron particulate and any oil carryover from lubricated air compressors further improves efficient operation.
